Patient Services Team


(Including Reception and Secretarial Support)

The Patient Services Team provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They provide signposting information and can direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. The PT make the most of the resources we have (appointments with GPs & nurses).

They also perform other important tasks such as:

  • Issuing repeat prescriptions
  • Dealing with all enquiries
  • Managing patient records / carrying out searches and practice audits
  • Supporting the practice with Quality Outcomes Framework activity – recalling patients for vital screening, health checks and periodic blood testing
  • Processing incoming letters that need to be seen by clinicians
  • Responding to incoming emails
  • Supporting the referrals process and liaising with hospital departments
  • General secretarial duties
