Baby Clinics & Childhood Immunisations

We are notified by hospitals when a baby is born and we will reach out to you with our congratulations and details of next steps. We encourage you to register baby with us as a patient as early as possible.

If your baby remains well from birth, then their first official visit to the GP will be at eight weeks old. The GP will perform some standard checks and then you will be seen by the Practice Nurse to administer the first set of immunisations. Further appointments will be made for when baby is 12weeks & 16weeks old.

Our baby clinics are held on a Tuesday morning and we will write to you with details of the appointment. If you were registered at another practice at the time of bay's birth and are new to our practice, please ensure that baby is registered with us too and that we are aware of his / her immunisations record. All 6 week post natal checks, for mums, can be booked by you, just like any other appointment.
